Flow Technology managed their welding documentation the way most do: paper records, physical certificates, and a significant amount of work waiting at the end of every project. Pulling everything together could take a week or more, depending on project size.
Handling certificates was particularly time-consuming. Each one had to be gathered, filed, and cross-referenced manually, one by one. With projects running across multiple locations with welders of different nationalities, coordination added another layer of complexity.

How SOCWeld changed their workflow
With SOCWeld, Flow Technology digitalised their entire documentation process. Certificates are uploaded directly into the platform and once they are in, they are traceable, searchable, and ready. NDT inspectors sign off directly in the weld log, with no separate paperwork or chasing signatures afterwards.
For projects running across multiple sites, the team can access everything in real time from wherever they are. The platform supports multiple languages, so teams of different nationalities can work on the same project simultaneously, without friction.
Two years in, the platform has changed how the team approaches projects from the start. When a large job comes in with a lot of hours and a lot of piping and fittings, the documentation is no longer the uncertain part. The workload is predictable, the process is known, and what used to take a week or two now takes a day.
